Calling all young adventurers! The Little Rangers Club is hosting an exciting Kids’ Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) Weekend, designed just for children aged 7–12. Over two fun-filled days, kids will learn the fundamentals of stand-up paddling, essential water safety skills, and gain confidence on the water—all under the guidance of our experienced and certified trainers.
What Will Kids Learn?
SUP Basics & Techniques
- How to properly mount and stand on a paddleboard
- Paddling strokes for balance, control, and movement
- Turning and maneuvering on the water
- Adjusting stance and foot positioning for stability
Water Safety & Awareness
- Understanding tides, currents, and weather conditions
- How to safely fall and get back on the board
- Importance of personal flotation devices (PFDs)
- Respecting the ocean and other water users
Balance & Coordination
- Fun exercises to improve agility and core strength
- Learning to stay steady while paddling through small waves
- Building endurance and confidence on the water
Teamwork & Problem-Solving
- Working together to navigate through mini challenges
- Supporting and encouraging each other’s progress
- Developing resilience and perseverance through hands-on experience
